Inquiry announces contract for providing Truth Project support services

18 May 2017

Following a formal tender process, West Mercia Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre has been awarded a contract by the Inquiry to provide support services for victims and survivors attending the Inquiry’s Truth Project in England and Wales.

West Mercia Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre won the contract and will provide support workers and counsellors for the Truth Project from 5 June. The existing contract, with The Survivors Trust will remain in place until that date and recipients of the service should experience a seamless transition during this time.

In accordance with our terms of reference, the Truth Project will give victims and survivors of child sexual abuse a chance to share their experiences with the Inquiry. It will also provide the Inquiry with a clearer picture of the nature, scope and scale of child sexual abuse in England and Wales.

West Mercia Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre will be working in partnership with the Rape Crisis Consortiums to deliver the support services.
