The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA) has today announced that Michael May has been appointed as Head of London and the South East Inquiry offices. Michael will lead IICSA’s work across both regions.

Following two years of service, Michael will step down from his role on the Victims and Survivors Consultative Panel (VSCP).

The Inquiry will recruit for Michael’s replacement on the VSCP in the coming weeks.

In a statement, the VSCP said:

“Whilst we will miss Michael's input on the VSCP, we are delighted that he can bring his insight and expertise to strengthen the Inquiry's work on a full time basis.

“We would like to thank Michael for his hard work and dedication and wish him every success in his new role.”

Michael May said:

"I'm looking forward to building on the work I've done with the VSCP and hope to bring the positive message of the work of the Inquiry and the Truth Project to targeted audiences in London and the South East."
