The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse has today published statistics which provide an update on the Inquiry’s three core projects - the Truth Project, investigations and public hearings and research.

The statistics will be published quarterly and are accurate to  23 January 2018.

Inquiry stakeholder event Swansea

8 March 2018

The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse is coming to Swansea in March to meet with victim and survivor support organisations.

Representatives from the Inquiry will talk to charity workers and staff from local authorities about the purpose of the Truth Project and how it can benefit victims and survivors. The Inquiry will also be speaking to attendees to find out their views on engaging with victims and survivors.

Week 1 timetable for public hearings in the Diocese of Chichester case study

2 March 2018

The Inquiry has today published the timetable for the first week of public hearings in the Diocese of Chichester case study, part of the Anglican Church investigation. The timetable is available on our website.

The hearing commence on Monday 5 March at 1030 at the Inquiry hearing centre, 18 Pocock Street, London, SE1 0BW and will be live streamed (subject to a short delay) on our website.

Inquiry Chair announces decisions arising out of the Westminster preliminary hearing

Following the preliminary hearing on the Westminster investigation on 31 January, the Chair of the Inquiry has announced her decisions in regard to three renewal applications for core participant status of Daniel Janner QC, Laura Janner-Klausner and Marion Janner and WM-A4.

Inquiry to publish report in the Child Migration Programmes case study

The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse has today announced that it will publish its report into the Child Migration Programmes case study on Thursday 1 March.

The case study formed part of the Children Outside the UK investigation which will hold further hearings in February next year.

Inquiry to hold half day seminar on the social and political narratives of child sexual abuse

The Inquiry is holding a half day seminar on the social and political narratives of child sexual abuse on the afternoon of Monday 26 February in London.  

Inquiry clarifies its position on core participants and provides an update on the 13 confirmed investigations

15 February 2018

A core participant is an individual or an institution that played, or may have played, a direct or significant role in an investigation.  

It is not necessary to be a core participant in order to provide evidence to the Inquiry.
