Inquiry announces core participant decision in the Children in the Care of Nottinghamshire Councils investigation

The Chair of the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse, Professor Alexis Jay, has today published a decision in the Children in the Care of Nottinghamshire Councils investigation. The determination relates to an application for core participant status in relation to Mr John Mann MP and can be found in our library section on the website

Inquiry announces determination in the Roman Catholic Church investigation

On Tuesday 6 June the Inquiry held a preliminary hearing in relation to its investigation into allegations of child sexual abuse in the Roman Catholic Church.  A number of submissions were made by Counsel to the Inquiry, Miss Karmy-Jones QC, and legal representatives of core participants.

Final day in Child Migration Programmes case study public hearing

25 July 2017

Tomorrow, (Wednesday 26 July) the Inquiry will hear closing statements from all the core participants on the final day of public hearings in the Child Migration Programmes case study, part of its Protection of Children Outside the UK investigation.

The hearing, which is open to the press and public, will be held at the International Dispute Resolution Centre (IDRC - full address below), at 10.30am and will be available to watch as a live stream, subject to a 5 minute delay at

The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA) Research Project is seeking to commission a contractor with expertise in delivering high quality in-depth research interviews with sexual offenders. Experience of leading depth interviews with vulnerable people in secure settings is essential, alongside providing supervision to other interviewers and a proven track record of delivering high quality qualitative research for government or other such clients.
