Child protection policies should set out clearly the ways in which an organisation will respond to allegations or incidents, including details of when allegations will be passed on to statutory authorities. Religious organisations and settings also need processes in place for providing support to victims and survivors of abuse, and to be able to take measures within their organisation, where appropriate, to manage the continuing presence of those who have abused children within their religious organisation, to keep children safe.
