The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse has today announced that Henrietta Hill QC is to be Deputy Counsel to the Inquiry

The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse has today announced that Henrietta Hill QC is to be Deputy Counsel to the Inquiry.

Announcing the appointment, the Chair of the Inquiry, Professor Alexis Jay OBE said:

“I am pleased to announce that Henrietta Hill QC has been confirmed as Deputy Counsel to the Inquiry.  Henrietta was lead counsel for our first public hearings in the Child Migration Programme case study and has a wealth of experience working on inquests and other complex cases.  She will work closely with the Solicitor to the Inquiry and support Leading Counsel to the Inquiry Brian Altman QC.”

Speaking after her appointment was confirmed Ms Hill said:

“I am very pleased to have been chosen as Deputy Counsel to the Inquiry and I very much look forward to working with Brian Altman, the Panel and the Solicitor’s and Counsel teams”
