Inquiry announces publication dates of final two investigation reports

The Inquiry will publish its 18th investigation report, Child Sexual Exploitation by Organised Networks, at midday on 1 February 2022.

For this investigation the Inquiry identified eight themes related to child sexual exploitation by organised networks. It considered those themes in the context of the police, local authority and other institutions within six local authority areas.

Public hearings were held in September and October of 2020 and 34 witnesses gave evidence.

We can also announce the publication of the 19th and final investigation report, Residential Schools, at midday on 1 March 2022.

The investigation explored how schools and other institutions responded to allegations of sexual abuse by school staff, and addressed broad questions of school culture, governance, leadership, training and recruitment.

Two sets of public hearings were held in October 2019 and November 2020 and 78 witnesses gave evidence.
