The Inquiry has today (5 December) published a Determination in respect of the case study concerning Medomsley Youth Detention Centre, part of the Children in Custodial Institutions investigation.
The Chair of the Inquiry, Professor Alexis Jay OBE, made a provisional decision on 3 October 2019 that the Inquiry should no longer investigate events at Medomsley for a range of reasons.
She has since considered submissions made in response and concluded that the Inquiry will not investigate Medomsley.
