We have today published a Notice of Determination and revised definition of scope in the investigation into the institutional responses to allegations of child sexual abuse involving the late Lord Janner of Braunstone, QC
The Chair of the Inquiry, Prof Alexis Jay OBE has decided that in light of the submissions she has received and the Determination that she has made, she does not consider it necessary to hold a preliminary hearing for oral submissions.
Submissions were also made by the family of the late Lord Janner of Braunstone QC to the effect that one member of the Panel should recuse herself from the Investigation. The Inquiry has written to the Home Secretary on this matter and received a response.
