The Inquiry has announced the dates for public hearings in three investigations for next year.
Hearings in the Child Sexual Exploitation by Organised Networks, Residential Schools and Lambeth Council investigations will all take place before next August. Two weeks of public hearings in the Child Protection in Religious Organisations and Settings investigation have already been announced for March 2020.
The full details are as follows:
16 - 27 March 2020 - Child Protection in Religious Organisations and Settings
20 April - 1 May 2020 - Child Sexual Exploitation by Organised Networks
11 - 22 May 2020 - Residential Schools Phase Two
29 June - 10 July and 20 - 31 July 2020 - Lambeth Council
All hearings will be held at the Inquiry hearing centre, 18 Pocock Street, London, SE1 0BW.
The Chair is currently considering submissions that February’s planned hearing in the investigation into institutional responses to allegations of child sexual abuse involving the late Lord Janner of Braunstone QC should be postponed.
All public hearings are streamed ‘live’ (subject to a three minute delay) on the Inquiry’s YouTube channel and website. The transcripts will be available on the website a few hours after the end of each hearing day.
